This has both­ered me for a long time and I finally decided to blog about it. I run mul­ti­ple sites with dozens of plu­g­ins so it seems I am installing plu­gin updates. The first thing I do before I install an update is ver­ify that my hourly data­base backup ran then click on the plu­gin “ver­sion details.” It seems lately that the major­ity either don’t have a changelog tab, don’t main­tain their changelog or worse make me go to their site and dig through com­ments, forums or blog posts on a quest to find out what changed. When I update a plu­gin I WANT TO KNOW WHAT CHANGED! Plu­gin authors stop mak­ing it so hard to find out what changed!
