Medi­ate has a slideshow of screen-grabs of var­i­ous sites dur­ing the attacks of 9/11. The Inter­net news cycle was much dif­fer­ent back then and these screen-grabs show the tremen­dous amount of strain placed on the web servers as peo­ple tried to fol­low the events.
